Oatmeal Raisin Power Balls

Here is a recipe for my Oatmeal Raisin Power Balls. Peanut butter and pecans provide a little protein while oats and raisins provide carbohydrate. Maybe try these for your post-workout snack!

What you will need:

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 Tbsp ground flaxseed
  • 1/3 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4-1/3 cup honey or agave syrup (I combined the 2)
  • dash of cinnamon
  • 1/4-1/3 cup raisins
  • crushed pecans (your preference on how much to add, I added about 1/4 cup)

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. The overall texture will still be fairly crumbly. Let sit in the refrigerator for at least an hour. Form into small balls, a little smaller than a ping pong ball. You have to really press! If you still are having trouble getting them to stick, just add a little more honey. Place back in the refrigerator for ready made little snacks throughout your week!
